Description
Walk through Isafjordur, the largest town in the Westfjords, with a local guide, ending with local tastings at the Isafjordur Maritime Museum.
You meet your English- or German-speaking guide in Isafjordur and set off on foot through a small fishing town in the middle of the Icelandic wilderness.
As you walk, your guide tells you about the history and culture of the town and the people who live there. It's also a good chance to ask any questions you have about Iceland.
The tour ends at the local heritage museum, the Isafjordur Maritime Museum, where entry is included. Here, you learn more about the history of the town while you try local delicacies: hardfiskur (dried fish), hakarl (fermented shark), and brennivin (Icelandic schnapps).
